So i just found out that my boss really is dating that taiwanese girl. and that SHE is actually the one financing him right now. like paying for his lunches.. etc etc.

Good Morning America + Fortune

Woke up at 5am to see Kings of Leon on the Good Morning America Show. i got there late and unfortunately I was in the back across the street and couldnt see anything. but i could hear them! sounded good. i stayed for one song then went back to the apt to get some more sleep before going to work.


Had Chinese take out tonight. My cookie had a real telling fortune for me........

Droping mad celebrity names

Started working again on Wednesday. So far its just be another intern and i. Kyoko won't come in b/c Mario hasn't paid her in like 2 months. And all the sewers are on leave b/c again.. mario doesn't have the money to pay them. so its just the people who work for free.. or are willing to wait for their paychecks i guess..

anyways, in celebrity news:
1. My boss had drinks with Fern Mallis - organizer of Mercedez Benz Fashion Week! shes also a judge on "the Fashion Show" on Bravo. They apparently talked about Mario being in mbfw in the next year or so...


2. Lindsey Lohan's stylist wants one of Mario's dresses for Lindsey

3. I saw Kelly Ripa and her kids on my way home from work today. They were walking right behind another intern and i!!

In other news:

Apparently my boss's blue dress is going to be on the cover of SoHo Design Magazine. Editorial shots can be seen here

My boss and his friend did a couple lines right out in the open in the studio today.

My cousin and I killed an army of 5 GIANT flies in the apartment. or were there 6? ridiculous.

Back on the Job.. bad situation

So i was wandering around Soho with Nina and Rob today. I thought it'd be a good idea to show them Mario's place (or at least the front door..). Lo and Behold. I bumped into Mario on the corner of the block. (he gave me one of those side cheek hello's and his sweaty cheek touched mine.. Eww ><) He says to me that we'll be starting back up again Tuesday and assured me he was still going to carry through and present during fashion week. Kyoko calls me later to confirm the day and time we'd all be coming back in to work. this put me in a bad situation. b/c i just scheduled an interview to intern at Cynthia Rowley on Tuesday at 11. damn.

this is how i fixed the problem. i sent the following message to Cynthia Rowley's assistant.

"I would really like the opportunity to work with Cynthia Rowley, however something has come up and I will only be available during fashion week and weekends leading up to August 17. I just wanted to let you know ahead of time before our scheduled meeting on Tuesday. If this is an issue, please let me know."

My cousin helped me write it. I think it's pretty good and gets me out of a tricky situation since I still would really like to intern for Cynthia and she'd be a great name to add to my resume.

Anyways in other news, I had a pretty eventful weekend.

experienced a torrential downpour that blew over an awning.



Wondered into a bar nearby with live music and saw dust all over the floor..? ate peanuts and had a few drinks




then ate half off sushi at Mays - not bad...

No, i didn't get fired.
Kyoko called me and told me they're basically stopping all operations right now until Mario settles his financial situation. ie. still. no. investor.

This means
A. I go home early
B. I find another internship
C. I miss Fashion Week :(

I 've already started my application for Cynthia Rowley and I might have some connections with new friends for a paid internship at Eileen Fisher... who knows.

Oh and super random.. i emailed my name and number to this model/actor/extras wanted posting on craigslist ny. They actually got back to me and i am going in for an interview on monday! the compensation is 75$. obviously i'm looking to interview for the Extras part of this posting.

In other news..
Nate came to visit! he arrived last thursday and we did a multitude of fun things :).
including a 3 night hostel stay in brooklyn, a david letterman show, skateboarding in queens, and amazing food.

overall the hostel was nice. clean. and most importantly safe. It was quite an experience, being my first hostel and all, living with a bunch of strangers in a hipster part of brooklyn. I kindof wish we had met/made some cool hipster friends there. o well. Anyways, i would definitely recommend it to anyone vacationing to manhattan needing a cheap hostel. Commute was only 10min metro ride to union square. We had a private room/bathroom for about $200 incl tax/fees. link to hostel
